Wade Gent
Wade Gent is managing attorney and lead trial lawyer for the firm.
Wade has represented over 5000 clients in litigation on both sides
of the docket ranging from wrongful death, car wreck injuries and
mesothelioma (asbestos exposure) to business disputes, will
contests and eminent domain (condemnation) cases.
Wade is admitted to practice in Texas and Pennsylvania, as well as
the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the
United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern
and Western Districts of Texas. He has represented clients in over
100 Texas counties and in Oklahoma, Maryland, Georgia,
Alabama, Louisiana and Arizona, among others. Much of Wade's
work involves co-counsel and consulting arrangements with other
attorneys from all over the country, who rely on Wade's extensive
trial and litigation experience in asbestos mesothelioma and other
complex cases.
A graduate of Kaufman High School, Wade holds a Business
Economics degree from Texas Tech University (1996) and a Juris
Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University (2000). He is also a
2003 graduate of the prestigious Trial Advocacy College of Texas.
He is City Attorney for the Cities of Rosser and Scurry, and serves
on the City Council for the City of Forney. Wade, a former
Municipal Judge, is Past President of the Kaufman County Bar
Association and is active in many community and political
activities. He is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Forney,
along with his wife and two children.
Wayne Gent
Wayne Gent is Of Counsel to the firm, bringing more than 35 years
of legal experience to serve our clients. After returning from
Vietnam as a U.S. Marine Corps sniper and Purple Heart recipient,
Wayne earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in
Houston in 1973. He is also a graduate of Texas Tech University
and a former football player at Texas A&M.
Wayne began the private practice of law in Kaufman in 1973, and
has been a well-recognized figure in the Kaufman County legal and
political communities for many years. A former UAW assembly line
worker for Ford Motor Company, Wayne has years of experience in
estate and probate law, family law, criminal law, real estate, and
general civil litigation.
Wayne is also a certified mediator, and has extensive experience in
the mediation and adjudication of many types of cases, with a
particular emphasis on probate and estate disputes, including will
contests. His limited practice currently involves probate, family law
and real estate matters.
